Scrunch Alternatives in 2026: 6 Options, Compared by What You Need
Scrunch fixes how AI agents read the pages you already have. If you need more models on the entry plan, a lower price, or new pages written for the questions you lose, these six tools fit better. Every fact checked on vendor pages on October 24, 2026.

The best Scrunch alternative depends on what Core is missing for you. More models on the entry plan: AthenaHQ (11 models, $295/month) or Trakkr (8 models, $100/month). Cheaper analytics: Peec AI ($95/month). Lowest price: Otterly.AI ($29/month). Enterprise: Profound. New pages written and published for a one-time price: GEOHATS (our product).
Scrunch has a clear point of view. Its pitch is that AI agents struggle to read typical websites, so instead of flooding your site with new AI-written pages it fixes the pages you have and, on Enterprise, serves AI agents a clean version of them from your CDN. Its Site Optimization launch post says the product is not "another content cannon that floods your site with AI-written filler".
That approach fits some teams very well. The reasons to look elsewhere are mostly about the plan you can buy without a sales call: Core tracks 4 models, Agent Pages and the API are Enterprise, and Scrunch doesn't write the new page for a question you have no answer to.
Last updated October 24, 2026. Every fact about Scrunch and the alternatives comes from their own public pages, checked October 24, 2026. We have not used Scrunch hands-on, so there are no test results here. GEOHATS is our product: its entry is marked and its weak spots are listed like everyone else's.
What Scrunch does well
Scrunch is strongest on the technical side of AI visibility: how AI agents reach and read your site. It measures AI bot traffic per page, audits pages for AI readability, ranks fixes page by page, and on Enterprise delivers JavaScript-free, pre-rendered pages to AI agents at the CDN without changing what humans see.
- Agent Pages (listed under AXP on the pricing page; the delivery layer was renamed Agent Pages in September 2026). Your CDN, such as Cloudflare, routes AI user agents like ChatGPT-User and PerplexityBot to Scrunch, which serves clean HTML. Googlebot and Bingbot aren't routed to it (Scrunch FAQ).
- Site Optimization ranks fixes in three buckets (technical cleanup, restructuring, enrichment from your own docs) and lets you act by ticket, Markdown copy, CMS sync or edge delivery (Scrunch launch post).
- Generous prompt volume on Core: 125 prompts and 5,000 responses a month, against 50 prompts on Peec AI Starter or Trakkr Growth.
- A large MCP server: 51 tools for metrics, responses, prompts, brand configuration and agent traffic, with OAuth sign-in from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and others (Scrunch developer docs).
- Sitecore workflow: a SitecoreAI integration puts recommendations and publish controls inside Sitecore, for SitecoreAI customers with a Scrunch subscription.
Why people look for a Scrunch alternative
Based on its public pages, the friction is what sits behind the Enterprise line. Core is $250 a month for four models, while Claude, Gemini, Grok, Agent Pages and the API all need a custom contract. And because Scrunch improves existing pages rather than writing new ones, a question you have no page for stays your job.
1. Four models on Core
Core tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot. Claude, Gemini, Grok, Meta AI and Google AI Mode are Enterprise, on the brand and agency tracks alike (Scrunch pricing). If your buyers use Claude or Gemini, Core can't see those answers.
2. The headline features are Enterprise
- Agent Pages and the Query API are Enterprise. Core gets 1 page optimization a month, "Basic" content generation and a 25-page site map.
- One brand per plan. "Standard plans support a single brand"; more brands need Enterprise or Agency Core ($500 a month for 3).
- Five seats on Core, then $25 a month per extra user or $75 for five more.
- MCP on Core is unclear. The developer docs say the MCP works on "any plan", but the brand pricing table shows MCP access as not included on Core. Ask before you count on it.
3. It improves pages; it doesn't write the missing ones
Scrunch's FAQ is direct: Agent Pages "doesn't publish new content". It reformats and enriches pages you already have; when those changes go out through Agent Pages, they reach AI agents, not human visitors or Google. If a competitor is cited for a question you have no page for, you still need someone to write that page. Scrunch also notes that when you change a page in your CMS, you need to update what Agent Pages serves.
4. Smaller details worth knowing
New prompts are collected daily for 14 days, then every 72 hours by default (you can refresh any time). The 7-day trial converts to a paid plan automatically unless you cancel. Annual discounts ("two months free") are stated for Enterprise clients.
We don't quote user reviews here. G2 blocked our browser when we tried to open Scrunch's review page, and we won't paraphrase reviews we couldn't read.

The 6 alternatives, by what you need
GEOHATS asks ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Grok your buyers' questions (Google AI Overviews with a SerpAPI key), shows the pages they cite instead of you, and writes a new page built to win each lost question from the competitor pages cited today. It publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Framer, Ghost, HubSpot, Wix (beta), GitHub or a webhook (integrations), then re-checks the answer.
On the technical side it takes a different route from Agent Pages: its site optimizer crawls your site the way AI crawlers fetch it and writes fixes (titles, meta descriptions, alt text, schema, internal links) back into the real page through supported CMSs (WordPress via a free plugin), so humans and Google get them too.
- You lose questions you have no page for
- You want Claude, Gemini and Grok tracked without an Enterprise contract
- You'd rather pay once: $47 (3 sites), $97 (10), $249 (unlimited)
- You need Copilot tracking or AI bot traffic from your CDN logs
- You need SSO or a SOC 2 report
- You don't want to create and pay for AI provider keys
For $45 more than Scrunch Core, AthenaHQ Starter ($295 a month, $245 billed annually) tracks 11 models, writes and publishes content to eight CMSs, and drafts outreach to the sites AI cites. The catch is credits: 3,600 a month, and Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral cost 5 credits per answer. Full breakdown in AthenaHQ alternatives.
- You want Claude and Gemini without Enterprise
- You want writing, publishing and outreach in one subscription
- You track many prompts daily on the 5-credit models
- You need multiple countries (Enterprise)
Growth is $100 a month for one brand tracked daily: 50 prompts, all 8 models (Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI included), 25 article credits a month, 3 seats and MCP access. It also includes AI Pages, edge middleware that serves AI crawlers an optimized copy of your pages while humans and Googlebot get the original: the same idea as Agent Pages, on the $100 plan (2,500 requests a month). For agencies, Scale ($500 a month) covers 10 brands with white-label client portals, against 3 brands on Scrunch's Agency Core at the same price.
- You want an AI-crawler version of your pages without an Enterprise contract
- You want Claude and Gemini without a sales call
- You need Copilot (not among its 8 models)
- You need more than 50 prompts per brand without paying for prompt packs
Starter is $95 a month for 50 prompts on 3 models you choose, with unlimited users on every plan (Scrunch Core has 5 seats), daily tracking, an MCP server and agency plans from $245 a month. Plan-by-plan detail: Peec AI pricing.
- A team needs share of voice, sentiment and source analysis
- Seat count matters more than prompt count
- You need Claude or Grok (Enterprise)
- You want content written or site fixes
If you were heading for Scrunch Enterprise, compare it with Profound Enterprise: up to 9 engines, SSO, SOC 2, an API, an MCP server, and an AI Marketer that drafts content, rewrites pages losing citations and stages them in your CMS through connectors including WordPress, Webflow, Contentful and Sanity. The trial runs 50 recommended prompts on 3 engines for 7 days. More in Profound pricing.
- You want new content drafted as well as existing pages improved
- You need enterprise security and a broad CMS list
- You want a public price
- You want to trial your own questions (trial prompts are preset)
Lite is $29 a month for 15 prompts on the same four engines Scrunch Core tracks (ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity, Copilot), plus GEO, crawlability and content audits and unlimited team members. Standard ($189) adds 100 prompts, API and MCP access. Claude, Gemini and AI Mode are paid add-ons. See Otterly.AI pricing.
- Scrunch Core's four engines are enough and $250 isn't
- You want a 7-day trial with no card
- You need more than 15 prompts on the entry plan
- You want pages written or delivered to agents
Scrunch vs GEOHATS
The two tools answer different halves of the same problem. Scrunch makes the pages you already have easier for AI agents to read, and on Enterprise serves agents a clean copy from your CDN. GEOHATS writes the page you're missing for each lost question, publishes it to your CMS, and writes technical fixes into the real page.
| Factor | Scrunch | GEOHATS |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Core $250/mo; Agency Core $500/mo; Enterprise custom | One-time $47 (3 sites), $97 (10), $249 (unlimited), plus AI usage |
| Engines | Core: ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, Copilot. Enterprise: 9 | ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok; AI Overviews with SerpAPI |
| Volume | 125 prompts, 5,000 responses/mo on Core | Your choice; you pay providers per question (about $0.012 to $0.045 per engine) |
| Refresh | Daily for 14 days, then every 72 hours by default | On demand, or daily or weekly per site |
| New pages | No (Agent Pages "doesn't publish new content") | Yes: article, comparison, statistics; reviews need your notes |
| Existing pages | Site Optimization: restructure and enrich; deliver via CMS sync or the edge | Site optimizer: titles, meta, alt text, schema, internal links, written back through supported CMSs or copied |
| Who sees the fix | Agent Pages: AI agents only; humans and Google see the original | Everyone, because the fix is in the real page |
| Publishing | SitecoreAI integration; CMS sync for approved changes | WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Framer, Ghost, HubSpot, Wix (beta), GitHub, webhook |
| MCP | 51 tools for data and configuration; no writing or publishing tools listed | 19 tools, including saving agent-written pages through a quality gate and publishing them |
| Agent traffic | AI bot traffic per page from CDN logs | Not measured |
| Try before you pay | 7-day trial, converts to paid | No trial; 7-day money-back |
Both tools have MCP servers; the difference is that the GEOHATS MCP server can also save and publish pages from Cursor or Claude Code (compared across vendors in MCP servers for AI visibility). One GEOHATS limit to keep in mind: scans run through each provider's API with each question asked once per engine per scan by default, so read trends across scans rather than single answers (how accurate AI visibility trackers are). Not sure whether AI crawlers can read your site at all? Our free AI crawler check tests GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot access and whether your pages load without JavaScript, with no signup.
When to stay with Scrunch
Stay if your problem is how AI agents read the pages you already have, not which pages you're missing. Scrunch is built around that problem, and its Enterprise features solve it without touching your front end.
- Your site renders content with JavaScript and you can't change the front end soon.
- You control a CDN such as Cloudflare and want AI agents served a clean version of every page.
- You want AI bot traffic per page, from your own logs.
- You run SitecoreAI and want recommendations inside it.
- ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot cover the assistants your buyers use.
- You prefer to improve existing pages over publishing new ones.
Many teams will need both halves eventually: readable pages and pages for the questions they don't answer yet. Which structure gets cited is covered in the page structure AI assistants cite.
How to switch without losing your baseline
- Export your prompt data. Scrunch exports prompt data to CSV or Excel and through its API; your question list is the asset, not the dashboard.
- Run both for one cycle so your before-and-after numbers are comparable.
- Turn off Agent Pages last if you used it, and check what AI crawlers see afterwards.
FAQ
What is the best Scrunch alternative in 2026?

Lowest price: Otterly.AI ($29/month). Enterprise: Profound. New pages written and published for a one-time price: GEOHATS (our product). Checked October 24, 2026.
How much does Scrunch cost?
Core is $250 a month for 125 prompts, 5,000 responses, 4 AI models, 1 brand and 5 seats. Agency Core is $500 a month for 3 brands and unlimited seats. Enterprise is custom. Extra seats cost $25 a month each. There's a 7-day free trial that converts to a paid plan unless you cancel.
Which AI models does Scrunch track?
Core tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot. Enterprise tracks 9: those four plus Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, Google AI Mode and Grok.
What is Scrunch AXP, or Agent Pages?
AXP is Scrunch's Agent Experience Platform. Its content delivery layer, renamed Agent Pages in September 2026, is an Enterprise feature that sits at your CDN, detects AI agents such as ChatGPT-User and PerplexityBot, and serves them a JavaScript-free, pre-rendered version of your pages. Human visitors, Googlebot and Bingbot see the normal site.
Does Scrunch write new content?
Not in the sense of new pages. Core includes "Basic" content generation and Site Optimization restructures and enriches existing pages, but Scrunch says Agent Pages "doesn't publish new content". For a question you have no page for, you need a writer or a tool that drafts pages.
Which Scrunch alternative tracks Claude without an Enterprise contract?
GEOHATS and Trakkr include Claude. AthenaHQ includes it on Starter at 5 credits per answer. Otterly.AI sells it as an add-on. On Scrunch, Claude is Enterprise.
