Quick answer

It depends on why you're leaving. To pay once, cover 3 sites and publish to more CMSs: GEOHATS (our product). More engines and hourly checks: Rankscale (Pro $99/month). More AI models and CMS targets on credits: AthenaHQ. Articles at a lower entry price: Writesonic. Cheapest monitor: Otterly.AI. Analytics: Peec AI. Enterprise: Profound.

Last updated: October 24, 2026. Trakkr, Rankscale and Writesonic facts come from their own pages, checked October 24, 2026; the other vendors' from their own pages, checked October 22 to 24, 2026. We have not used Trakkr hands-on; this is based on its public pages and documentation.

Trakkr is the closest product to GEOHATS in this category, so this is the comparison we most need to get right. It tracks 8 AI models on a flat price, writes 25 articles a month on its $100 plan, pushes drafts to your CMS, applies technical fixes with revert, and connects to Claude or Cursor through an MCP server. Writing content is not what sets GEOHATS apart from Trakkr; both do it.

People leave Trakkr over structure, not features: $100 a month per brand, a $400 step up for a second brand, and the API and white-label kept for Scale. Below: what Trakkr does well, where it pinches, seven alternatives by reason to switch, and a straight Trakkr vs GEOHATS comparison. GEOHATS is our product; it's marked, with its cons.

What Trakkr does well

Trakkr bundles tracking, content and site fixes in one flat subscription. From its pricing page and documentation, checked October 24, 2026:

  • All 8 models on every plan, no per-model fees: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI, refreshed daily. Growth includes 12,000 data points a month.
  • Content built in. Growth includes 25 article credits a month, Scale 100. Each article runs five passes (Research, Draft, Enhance, Verify, Score), uses one of seven templates at 900 to 2,400 words, and is written against the pages AI engines cite for that query today (Trakkr content docs).
  • Unusually honest draft checks. Eight checks plus a 0 to 100 citation-likelihood score, which its docs describe as "a heuristic" and "not a measured probability or a validated forecast" (Articles docs).
  • Publishing and site fixes. Connect WordPress, Webflow, Shopify or GitHub. Articles push as drafts (GitHub as pull requests), and technical fixes such as meta tags, canonicals, schema, alt text, llms.txt and robots.txt apply with the old value recorded for revert, depending on the platform (Sites docs). Its Agent can also auto-publish strong drafts if you allow it.
  • Extras most trackers lack: AI Pages (serves an AI-optimized copy of your pages to AI crawlers; 2,500 requests a month on Growth), accuracy checks that grade what ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini say about you from memory, crawler tracking and Reddit intelligence.
  • MCP on every paid plan, with 82 tools, workflows and research items listed across 12 categories, plus a public MCP for its docs (Trakkr MCP).

Why people look for a Trakkr alternative

These aren't flaws so much as fit. From Trakkr's own pages:

  1. One brand per $100. Growth covers a single brand; for more, the plan builder moves you to Scale (up to 10 brands) at $500 a month. Two or three sites means a $400 monthly step.
  2. Add-ons stack. In the plan builder on Growth: 50 more prompts cost $39 a month per brand, 25 more article credits $49 a month, an extra market $30 a month per brand. ChatGPT shopping tracking is $49 per brand.
  3. Key agency features wait for Scale. The REST API, client access and white-label portals are Scale-only. Growth includes 3 seats and keeps 1 year of history.
  4. Engine and cadence limits. Its 8 models don't include Microsoft Copilot or Google AI Mode, and the refresh frequency is daily on both plans.
  5. Content has edges. Articles are credit-limited, the composer starts from a title (its docs say it "is not a blank manual editor"), and article publishing targets are WordPress, Webflow, Shopify and GitHub.
  6. It is a subscription. Two years of Growth is $2,000 on annual billing, and the 14-day trial needs a card.

The 7 alternatives, by reason to switch

1

GEOHATS

If you want to pay once and cover several sitesOur product

GEOHATS runs the same loop on a different pricing model: it checks your buyer questions on ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Grok, finds the ones you lose and the pages cited instead, writes the page for each (Claude writes it when you connect an Anthropic key), runs a quality gate, and publishes to WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Framer, Ghost, HubSpot, Wix (beta), GitHub or a webhook (integrations). You pay once for 3, 10 or unlimited sites and run it on your own AI keys (pricing).

Pick it if
  • You run 2 to 3 sites and don't want a $500 plan
  • You publish to Ghost, HubSpot, Framer, Wix or a Zapier/Make/n8n webhook
  • You check weekly or monthly rather than daily
  • Your coding agent writes pages: create_page_from_html saves and gates them with no AI call or run on our side (MCP server)
Skip it if
  • You want daily checks on every engine: AI fees then exceed Trakkr Growth (see below)
  • You need DeepSeek, Meta AI or Copilot tracked
  • You need team seats, client logins or white-label (one sign-in; report links say GEOHATS)
  • You want Reddit, accuracy or AI-crawler-page features
One-time: $47 (3 sites), $97 (10), $249 (unlimited)
2

Rankscale

If you want more engines or hourly checks

Rankscale tracks 17+ engines on every plan, including Copilot, AI Mode, DeepSeek, Mistral and Meta's Muse Spark, on schedules from hourly to monthly. Pro is $99 a month with 1,200 credits and 10 brand dashboards; Essentials is $17 a month billed yearly. It doesn't write content. The catch is credits: Claude costs 2 credits per query against 0.25 for ChatGPT. We work through the math in Rankscale alternatives.

Pick it if
  • You need engines Trakkr doesn't cover, or hourly runs
  • You want up to 10 brand dashboards for about the price of one Trakkr brand (credits are shared across them)
Skip it if
  • You want articles written
  • Claude is a big part of your tracking
From $17/mo (yearly) · Pro $99/mo
3

AthenaHQ

If you want more models and CMS targets

AthenaHQ has a free Essential tier (300 credits, 5 models), then Starter at $295 a month ($245 billed annually) with 3,600 credits, 11 models and unlimited prompts. Its Content Hub writes articles and publishes to Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Framer, Payload CMS, Sanity and Contentful. One credit is one AI response, but Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral cost 5 credits each (its credit calculator).

Pick it if
  • You want a free tier to start
  • You publish to a headless CMS such as Sanity or Contentful
Skip it if
  • You want a predictable bill: credits again
  • $295 a month is beyond your budget

4

Writesonic

If you want articles at a lower entry price

Starter is $79 a month billed annually: 50 prompts tracked daily on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, 15 AI articles a month, 10 site audits and 1 user. Basic ($199) has 25 articles and Growth ($399) 50 articles plus sentiment, also on annual billing. All 9 AI platforms are tracked on Enterprise. The pricing page lists a WordPress integration and a free trial with no card.

Pick it if
  • Article volume matters more than engine coverage
  • You also want classic SEO tooling in the same place
Skip it if
  • You need Claude, Perplexity or Grok tracked below Enterprise
  • You want monthly billing at that price

Otterly.AI

If you only need monitoring

Lite is $29 a month for 15 prompts on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, with unlimited team members and a 7-day trial with no card. Claude is a paid add-on ($29 a month on Lite). Standard ($189) adds 100 prompts plus API and MCP. See Otterly.AI pricing.

Pick it if
  • A small question set and a low fixed bill are enough
  • You need Copilot tracked

  • You were using Trakkr's articles or site fixes

6

Peec AI

If you want analytics and unlimited users

Starter is $95 a month for 50 prompts on 3 models you choose, with unlimited users, an MCP server and Actions that rank what to work on. Separate agency plans run $245 to $795 a month. Claude and Grok are Enterprise-only, and Peec doesn't write content. Details: Peec AI alternatives.

Trakkr vs GEOHATS: head-to-head

These are the two most similar tools in the category: both track, write, publish and connect to coding agents. The real differences are the pricing model, who pays for AI usage, how many sites you get, and the extras around the core loop.

What one year costs

For one brand, using Trakkr's list prices and the per-question AI estimates GEOHATS shows before a scan (about $0.14 per question across its 5 engines):

Scenario (50 questions, 25 pages a month)Trakkr Growth, 12 monthsGEOHATS 3-site, first 12 months
Questions checked weekly$1,000 (annual) or $1,200$47 + about $360 in scan fees + $60 to $150 for pages
Questions checked daily on every engine$1,000 (annual) or $1,200$47 + about $2,500 in scan fees + $60 to $150 for pages

Our arithmetic, October 24, 2026. Trakkr tracks 8 engines to GEOHATS's 5, and GEOHATS's year two drops the license. Provider prices change, so treat the AI fees as estimates.

The verdict: for daily, all-model tracking of one brand, Trakkr is cheaper and simpler, and you never touch an API key. GEOHATS is cheaper when you check weekly or monthly, run more than one site, or publish to a platform Trakkr doesn't support. Neither can promise a citation, and Trakkr's docs say as much.

When to stay with Trakkr

  • You track one brand daily on 8 models and want a single monthly bill with AI usage included.
  • You use the extras: accuracy checks, Reddit and crawler data, or the AI Pages layer.
  • You're an agency that needs client logins and a white-label portal on your own domain (Scale).
  • You need the REST API (Scale) or its Zapier, Slack and Google Sheets integrations around your visibility data.
  • You don't want to manage AI provider keys. That's a real cost of BYOK tools, ours included.

Whichever tool writes, the page still needs the structure AI assistants cite. More writers are compared in GEO tools that write the content.

How to switch without losing your baseline

  1. Export your prompts (Trakkr has CSV export and Google Sheets sync on Growth) and import them into the new tool.
  2. Record the live URLs of articles you published from Trakkr, so the new tool can watch whether they get cited.
  3. Run both for one cycle on the same questions; single AI answers vary run to run, so compare trends.
  4. Check AI crawlers can read your site with the free AI crawler check before judging any tool's results.

FAQ

What is the best Trakkr alternative in 2026?

It depends on your reason. Pay once and cover several sites: GEOHATS (our product). More engines and hourly checks: Rankscale. More models and CMS targets: AthenaHQ. Articles at a lower entry price: Writesonic. Monitoring only: Otterly.AI ($29/month). Analytics with unlimited users: Peec AI. Enterprise: Profound.

How much does Trakkr cost?

Growth is $100 a month or $1,000 a year for 1 brand, 50 prompts, all 8 models, 25 articles a month and 3 seats. Scale is $500 a month or $5,000 a year for 10 brands, 100 articles, unlimited seats, white-label portals and the REST API. Enterprise starts at $1,000 a month, billed annually. There is a 14-day trial on Growth, and it needs a card.

Does Trakkr write and publish content?

Yes. Growth includes 25 article credits a month and Scale 100. Articles can be pushed as drafts to a connected WordPress, Webflow, Shopify or GitHub site, or exported as Markdown or HTML, and Trakkr then tracks citations to the live URL. Its Agent can auto-publish strong drafts if you turn that on.

Is there a Trakkr alternative without a monthly subscription?

GEOHATS is a one-time license (from $47 for 3 sites) that runs on your own AI keys, so you pay providers for usage instead of a monthly fee. AthenaHQ has a free tier, but its paid plan is a subscription.

Which Trakkr alternative tracks more AI engines?

Rankscale tracks 17+ engines on every plan, including Copilot, AI Mode and Mistral, which Trakkr's 8 models don't include. AthenaHQ tracks 11 models on Starter. Profound covers up to 9 on Enterprise.

Trakkr or GEOHATS for an agency?

Trakkr Scale ($500 a month) fits agencies that need client logins, a white-label portal on their own domain and the REST API. GEOHATS ($97 once for 10 sites) fits agencies that want to write and publish pages for many client sites without a monthly fee, and can live with GEOHATS-branded report links and one sign-in.
