The vendor page shows two prices and hides the rest. Here is the full tier breakdown, what Enterprise really runs, and what to buy instead at every budget.
Profound costs $99 per month for its Starter tier (ChatGPT tracking only) and $399 per month for Growth (three engines), both billed yearly (checked August 4, 2026). Everything else, including Gemini, Copilot, API access and SSO, sits behind custom Enterprise pricing, which third-party reviews estimate at $2,000 to $5,000+ per month.
Profound is the biggest name in AI visibility tracking, and its pricing reflects who it serves. In February 2026 the company raised a $96 million Series C at a $1 billion valuation, led by Lightspeed Venture Partners (Fortune, February 2026). The company reports more than 700 enterprise customers, including Target, Walmart, Figma, MongoDB and U.S. Bank (GlobeNewswire, February 2026).
That customer list explains the pricing model: the self-serve tiers are an on-ramp, and the real product lives in custom Enterprise contracts (Wilson Sonsini, 2026). None of that makes Profound a bad product. It makes it a product built for a buyer who is probably not you if you searched "profound pricing" before talking to sales.
The pricing page itself has been a moving target. Trakkr's pricing review reported the page as demo-led with no public prices in July 2026. When we checked tryprofound.com/pricing on August 4, 2026, the two public tiers below were listed. Treat any Profound price you read, including this page, as a snapshot with a date on it.
As of August 4, 2026, Profound lists two self-serve tiers plus custom Enterprise. Starter is $99/month and tracks ChatGPT only; Growth is $399/month and tracks three engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews). Both prices are the annual-billing rate ("2 months free"). Everything beyond three engines requires an Enterprise conversation.
| Tier | Price (checked Aug 4, 2026) | Engines tracked | Prompts | Seats | Key limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $99/mo, billed yearly | ChatGPT only | 50 | 1 | 1 language, 1 region, 100 agent credits/mo, email support |
| Growth | $399/mo, billed yearly | 3 (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) | 100 | 3 | 1 language, 1 region, 400 agent credits/mo, email support |
| Enterprise | Custom (est. $2,000 to $5,000+/mo, third-party) | Up to 9 (adds Gemini, Copilot, Grok, Claude, DeepSeek) | Custom | Custom | Gates API, SSO/SAML, multi-region, Slack support, ChatGPT Shopping |
Vendor tier data from tryprofound.com/pricing, checked August 4, 2026. Enterprise estimate is from third-party reviews, not Profound; see the Enterprise section for attribution. Earlier coverage sometimes calls the $99 tier "Lite": same ChatGPT-only entry tier, current label is Starter.
The headline prices understate what most teams end up paying, because the tier limits are tight in three specific places: engines, prompts and seats. Read the gating before you budget, since the jump from $99 to $399 to a custom contract is driven by exactly these three levers.
Buyers routinely assume $99 buys "AI visibility." It buys ChatGPT visibility. Perplexity and Google AI Overviews require the 4x price jump to Growth, and Gemini, Copilot, Grok, Claude and DeepSeek are Enterprise-only (per the vendor's own tier list, checked August 4, 2026). If your buyers ask Gemini, no self-serve Profound tier can see it.
Starter caps you at 50 tracked prompts and a single seat; Growth at 100 prompts and 3 seats. For an agency or a multi-product brand, 100 prompts across three engines is thin, and third-party reviews consistently name prompt limits as the reason teams get pushed up-tier (Workduo pricing guide, 2026).
Both public prices are the "billed yearly" rate. Budget the cash outlay accordingly: roughly $1,188/year for Starter and $4,788/year for Growth, paid up front, not month to month.
Profound publishes no Enterprise price, so the only numbers available are third-party estimates. Trakkr's 2026 review pegs typical enterprise deployments at roughly $2,000 to $5,000+ per month depending on engine count, seats and regions (Trakkr, 2026). That Marketing Buddy's pricing page reports a similar custom-quote structure, and some reviews aimed at larger deployments report contracts starting around $3,000/month and climbing past $10,000/month at the top end. Treat all of these as unverified estimates: they are what reviewers and buyers report, not vendor list prices.
The honest read: if you need SSO, API access, more than three engines, or more than one region, you are an Enterprise lead, and you should walk into that call expecting a four-figure monthly quote. G2's Profound pricing page also lists no Enterprise figure, which tells you negotiation room exists.
Each Profound tier maps to a clear buyer, and the mismatches are where money gets wasted. Match your team to the row that describes you before you take a demo, because sales calls at demo-led vendors are designed to move you one tier up from where you walked in.
If the tier ladder above priced you out, the AI visibility market has options at every price point in 2026. Here is the budget ladder, cheapest first. We build one of these tools, so that entry carries a disclosure and its cons are listed like everyone else's.
| Tool | Entry price (checked Aug 4, 2026) | Engines at entry | Model | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Otterly.ai | $29/mo (15 prompts) | 4 (ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity, Copilot) | Monitoring only | Cheapest credible tracking |
| GEOHATS | $49 one-time (3 sites) | 5 (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok) | Track + write + publish, BYOK | Small teams wanting the full loop |
| Peec AI | Reported ~€85/mo | 3 models per plan | Monitoring + analytics | SEO teams in the mid-market |
| Profound | $99/mo (ChatGPT only) | 1, up to 9 on Enterprise | Monitoring + enterprise suite | Enterprise brands and agencies |
Otterly's $29/month Lite plan tracks 15 prompts across four engines (checked August 4, 2026), which beats Profound Starter's one-engine coverage at a third of the price. The 15-prompt cap is tight, and bigger plans ($189 Standard, $489 Premium) close the gap with Profound Growth fast. It monitors; it does not fix anything for you.
Disclosure: GEOHATS is our product, so weigh this entry accordingly. GEOHATS tracks five engines, finds the questions where you lose, then writes and publishes the page built to win the citation. Lifetime licenses start at $49 for 3 sites (checked August 4, 2026), and you bring your own AI API keys, so you pay providers at cost.
For a deeper head-to-head, see our GEOHATS vs Profound comparison.
Peec lists Starter, Pro, Advanced and Enterprise tiers, but hides numbers behind a signup on its public pricing page. Third-party pricing guides report roughly €85/€205/€425 per month, with each plan covering three models and extra engines as paid add-ons (Workduo, 2026). Verify on Peec's site before budgeting. Strong analytics for SEO teams; like Otterly, it stops at monitoring. We compare all three in our Profound vs Peec vs Otterly breakdown.
To be fair to the tool this page is about: if you have enterprise requirements (SSO, API, 5+ engines, multiple regions, procurement), Profound's depth, agent analytics and customer list justify the quote. The complaint here is not quality. It is that the self-serve tiers are a narrow slice of the product, priced as an on-ramp to sales. More options in our 7 Profound alternatives roundup.
Partly. As of August 4, 2026, Profound publicly lists two self-serve tiers: Starter at $99/month (ChatGPT only, 50 prompts, 1 seat) and Growth at $399/month (3 engines, 100 prompts, 3 seats), both billed yearly. That is the entire small-team offer; everything else is custom Enterprise. Note that the page has changed repeatedly: Trakkr found it demo-led with no public prices in July 2026, so the tiers you see may differ by the time you read this. There is no small-team path to Gemini, Copilot or API access at any public price.
$99/month for Starter and $399/month for Growth at the annual-billing rate (checked August 4, 2026), which works out to roughly $1,188 or $4,788 per year paid up front. Enterprise is quote-only. Third-party reviews estimate typical enterprise deployments at $2,000 to $5,000+ per month, with large multi-region contracts reported above $10,000 per month. Those estimates come from reviewers and buyers, not Profound, so treat them as directional and negotiate from the quote you actually receive.
ChatGPT tracking only, 50 tracked prompts, 100 agent credits per month, 1 seat, 1 language and 1 region, with email support (vendor tier list, checked August 4, 2026). It does not include Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Copilot, API access or SSO. It is genuinely useful for proving that AI assistants mention your competitors and not you, but it is a single-engine snapshot, not an AI visibility program. Some older reviews call this tier "Lite"; the current public label is Starter.
Profound does not publish an Enterprise price, and G2 lists none either. Third-party estimates put typical deployments between $2,000 and $5,000+ per month (Trakkr, 2026), with some reviews reporting contracts from around $3,000/month up past $10,000/month for large multi-region setups. The drivers are engine count (up to 9), seats, languages, regions and API access. Since no list price exists, everything is negotiable: scope the engines and regions you truly need before the call, because the quote will be built on whatever you ask for.
Usually not at the self-serve tiers, unless ChatGPT-only ($99) or three-engine ($399) monitoring answers a specific question you have. Small teams typically get more coverage per dollar elsewhere: Otterly tracks four engines for $29/month, and GEOHATS (our tool, so discount our bias) covers five engines plus content generation for a $49 one-time license. Profound becomes worth it when you have enterprise needs: SSO, API, procurement, many regions, and a budget where a four-figure monthly quote is unremarkable. Its 700+ enterprise customers are exactly that profile.
By entry price, checked August 4, 2026: Otterly.ai at $29/month (15 prompts, 4 engines, monitoring only), GEOHATS at $49 one-time for 3 sites (5 engines, tracks plus writes and publishes pages, bring your own API keys; disclosure: that is our product), and Peec AI at a reported ~€85/month (3 models, strong analytics). The right pick depends on whether you only need to watch your AI visibility, in which case Otterly is cheapest, or need to act on it, which is the gap GEOHATS was built for.
GEOHATS tracks 5 AI engines, finds the buyer questions you lose, and writes the page built to win the citation. One-time license, your own API keys, no monthly meter.
